Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is central to our mission
Corporate social responsibility is central to our mission and we are deeply committed to provide long term waste solutions for a clean society now and in the future.
Our objective is to work with our partners to resolve waste issues in a responsible manner by recovering more and more raw materials and generating a maximum of energy from the remaining waste.

Environment
Our commitment also extends to caring for the environment. Our air emissions will remain below the levels prescribed by the regulators in Sri Lanka and will meet the European Waste Incineration Standards – the gold standard for emissions. Fairway Waste Management will also convert various types of waste into energy and raw materials as sustainably and efficiently as possible to avoid CO2 emissions. In doing so, we will contribute to Sri Lanka meeting its commitments to IPCC and Sustainable Development Goals set forth by the United Nations.
We plan to install the largest and most advanced anaerobic digestion system in the region in Karadiyana to treat as much as 36,000 tons of organic waste per year. Additionally as a by-product the plant will produce 45,000 tons/year of liquid fertilizer and 7500 tons/year of solid fertilizer.

Clean City
Fairway Waste Management will be the principal vehicle to attain the ‘Waste Free Clean City’ programme initiated by the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development.
Occupational health and safety
We place the greatest of importance on the safety of our employees and our visitors, as well as the environment. As the very nature of our operations and industrial processes entail safety risks we take stringent measure to ensure high safety standards, aiming to make Fairway Waste Management into an accident-free company.
